Setting sail from Lisbon, the seven-hilled Portuguese capital, you will chart a course for Madeira, the island of the eternal spring. On this steep island covered in luxuriant vegetation, the variety of landscapes, including sheer cliffs, levadas, banana plantations, and laurisilva, never ceases to amaze visitors. Here you will discover Funchal, the capital of the Madeira Islands. Its Museum of Sacred Art, housed in a former bishop's palace, reveals Flemish paintings and precious jewellery.
